Over recent months, the nature and role of Indian intelligence agencies has been discussed at great length–particularly how RAW and IB operate to target Sikhs around the world. From targeted assassinations to disinformation, Indian intelligence plays a central role in repressing dissent. During the kisaan morcha, the Indian government made several nefarious claims in the Supreme Court of India about the role of Khalistani activists during the farmers’ protest on the basis of information they allegedly received from the IB (Intelligence Bureau).
